Ooredoo and Qatar Red Crescent (QRCS) have announced a three-year partnership agreement to enable donations to the charity via Ooredoo’s nationwide self-service machine network.
The signatories were Ooredoo’s chief operating officer Yousuf Abdulla al-Kubaisi, and QRCS CEO, Youssef Ahmed al-Hammadi.
With over 200 self-service machines spread across the country, donations to QRCS will soon be easily made by cash or credit/debit card 24/7.
Al-Kubaisi hoped that the next time users pay their bill, top-up their service or head into an Ooredoo Shop, they would donate a few riyals to QRCS to help those in need.
Al-Hammadi thanked Ooredoo for its co-operation and indicated that QRCS is keen to diversify donations means and methods, so that everyone can find an easy way to donate.
“This new feature represents an upgrade to available donations means, which includes donating in cash to QRCS branches in different parts of Qatar through representatives in malls, via bank transfers, through the QRCS website or calling 16002 to make a donation.” added al-Hammadi added.
In addition to donating via the Ooredoo self-service machines, customers can also pay Ooredoo Shahry and Kahramaa bills, purchase Hala SIM cards, and top-up Hala accounts, as well as Karwa bus cards.
