The new fish market in Umm Slal will open today, which will be followed by an auction for local fish. The new facility replaces the fish market in Abu Hamour and will receive customers from 6am to 10pm, Saturday to Thursday. On Fridays, it will function from 6am to 10.30am and from 3pm to 10pm. Meanwhile, the Permanent Committee for Managing Central Markets at the Ministry of Economy and Commerce said consumers have several options for buying fresh fish other than the Umm Slal market. These include the Al Wakrah fish market in the Al Wakrah old souq, Al Khor and Al Shamal fish market, Doha Corniche fish stalls and the various outlets that sell fish around the country in shopping malls and other places.
