Local Arabic daily Arrayah reported the victim was walking from the house of his friend to his house at Al Sayliyah Area, when the defendant and four other unidentified persons attacked and stole his wallet before fleeing in a taxi.
The wallet contained a various cards and a QR200 in cash. The victim also managed to follow them in a taxi and caught up with them up. He managed to detain one of the attackers and handed him over to the police. The drivers of the two taxis gave testimony on the incident at the court.
