Qatar Career Development Centre (QCDC) has opened registration for the 4th edition of its Career Adviser Training Course (CATC). The aim is to provide participants with the basic skills and essential knowledge of career advising and planning, enabling them to assist Qatar’s youth in their career journeys.
The course in Arabic, will bring together career advisers, academics, human resources professionals, and parents – who play a key role in their children’s career decisions – along with teachers and trainers.
The course will run from May 7-11, from 8am to 2pm, at Education City’s Recreation Centre. Registration will continue until the beginning of May and early applicants will be offered discounted fees.
Abdullah al-Mansoori, director of QCDC, described the CATC as a unique programme that QCDC is offering exclusively in Qatar and the GCC region.
“The importance of the programme lies in its uniqueness, since it equips graduates with the essential knowledge of career advising and planning so they can guide youth through their career journeys. The course is also certified by Kuder, Inc., a world leader in career planning services.”
The course will be presented by Dr Tajalsir Kardaman, career counselling consultant at QCDC. Dr Kardaman holds a doctorate from Lancaster University, UK, where he also worked as a professor. Before joining QCDC, Dr Kardaman served as the director of Qatar University’s Centre of Continuity Education and Office of Faculty and Instructional Development.
Registration fees for the CATC can be paid at QCDC offices located at the Qatar Foundation Housing Maintenance Building, adjacent to the Education City Clubhouse.
