Qatar Ports Management Company — Mwani Qatar participated in World Autism Awareness Day by lighting up the company’s building in blue in solidarity with the international campaign carried by Autism Speaks organisation.
The second of April of each year was designated as World Autism Awareness Day based on a proposal submitted by Qatar and adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in a resolution issued on December 18, 2007.
World Autism Awareness Day aims to increase people’s awareness about people, especially children, with autism.
The day often features educational events for teachers, healthcare workers and parents, as well as exhibitions showcasing work created by children with autism.
