Nasser Bin Khaled Automobiles, the exclusive dealers of Mercedes-Benz in Qatar, hosted the second Mercedes Trophy Golf tournament on Saturday at the Doha Golf Club.
The second edition of the tournament saw 90 players competing in three main categories: men A (0-12 handicap), men B (13-24 handicap) and women.
Reiterating its commitment to the local community, Nasser Bin Khaled (NBK) Automobiles honoured the emerging local golf talents, who play for Qatar National team. Sager al-Naimi and Sami Qush surprised the competitors with their skills that put al-Naimi in the lead.

We are pleased This year to welcome two of the emerging stars of Qatar national team.”
The sessions witnessed healthy competition where al-Naimi won in the men’s category A scoring 43 points, while Richard Bartlett and Alan Bassnett got the second and third places respectively. In men’s category B, Andrew Dunlop scored 45 points to take the first place followed by Christer Olsson in the second and Johan Rivera in the third.  In the women’s category, Cherehzade Pedder scored 41 points and won the trophy, while Tasnim Kazi was the first runner up and Lorraine Boydell was the second Runner up. Four players also received special prizes for their exceptional performance, including Rick Bartlett for the longest drive, Ben San Jose for longest putt holed, PK Mathew for the nearest to the rope and Teresa Gow for the nearest to the pin. 
All participants got valuable gifts from NBK Automobiles and event partners Blue Salon, Total and Zeibart while the winners received their trophies and prizes during the awards ceremony.
