Russian authorities swiftly put down a small protest in the centre of Moscow on Sunday, taking dozens of participants into custody, the Tass news agency reported, one week after nationwide demonstrations against corruption triggered a widespread crackdown.
Thirty people were detained in the latest opposition protest, according to the report.
Moscow's iconic Red Square and other parts of the capital were heavily patrolled on Sunday, after the previous weekend saw Russia's biggest political protests in five years.
Opposition leader Alexei Navalny and at least 100 of his supporters were detained in last week's unauthorised rally, which attracted thousands.
