A 12-hour traffic diversion will be in place from 11pm today until 11am tomorrow on a stretch of the Lusail Street as part of finishing works ahead of opening of the main tunnel of Onaiza Interchange, a part of the Lusail Expressway project.
The diversion will be in front of St Regis Hotel up to the Katara signalised junction, Ashghal explained in a statement yesterday.
During the diversion, traffic in both directions between the signalised Old Exhibition Centre junction and Katara signalised junction will be closed.
Road users travelling from West Bay towards The Pearl and Lusail will be required to turn left to University Street (also known as Al Jamiaa Street) at the signal-controlled junction and follow the diversion route.
Those travelling in the opposite direction will be required to turn right onto West Bay Lagoon Street at the Katara signalised junction and follow the diversion route as shown on the map.
