HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani yesterday inaugurated an exhibition on the sidelines of the Qatar-UK Business and Investment Forum at Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
The Prime Minister toured the exhibition where he visited the stands of the participating companies.
The exhibition shows a number of Qatari and British companies as well as a pavilion that showcases elements that represent Qatar’s culture and environment.
Later the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior held several meetings on the sidelines of the forum.
He met Britain’s Chancellor of the Exchequer Philip Hammond and his accompanying delegation.
They discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations, particularly in economy-related fields.
They also discussed some of the subjects on the forum’s agenda.
The Prime Minister and Minister of Interior later met UK’s Secretary of State for International Trade Liam Fox and his accompanying delegation. They discussed means to boost Qatar-UK relations, especially with regard to trade between the two countries. They also reviewed of a number of topics on the Forum’s agenda.
The Prime Minister also held a meeting with a number of CEOs of British companies taking part in the Qatar-UK Business and Investment Forum in London. They reviewed subjects of joint interest during the meeting.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani also met the ambassadors of the Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) States to the UK. During the meeting, they reviewed the  relations between Qatar and other the GCC member-states.
