Abdullah Abdulghani & Bros Co (AAB), the sole agent for Toyota vehicles in Qatar, has announced the winners of the Dream Car Art Contest.
In a statement, the company said it organised the 11th national Dream Car Art Contest with the aim of developing children’s creative abilities and motivate them to express their talent in drawing their dream cars.
The initiative is an attempt by AAB - Toyota to “discover children’s hidden potential and unveil their imagination for future cars”, the statement notes.
Since 2004, the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest has been conducted as part of Toyota Motor Corporation - Japan’s social contribution initiatives. It gives children throughout the world the opportunity to develop an interest in cars and helps them feel the joy and importance of having a dream.
“The Toyota Dream Car Art Contest invites children from all corners of the globe to share ideas about the future of mobility by drawing their dream cars, which may enable one of the talented children in Qatar to visit Japan,” the statement added.
In order to “offer ample opportunity” for children to take part in the contest, AAB - Toyota collaborated with more than 80 schools for participation in the contest where students draw their dream cars at their schools. Special prizes will be given for the most liked drawings on Facebook.
The previous year’s contest saw around 1,000 participants. This year, the number of students taking part in it reached 1,445 as the AAB - Toyota management decided to organise the contest in schools in order to give more children the opportunity to be part of the initiative.
