HE the Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani met yesterday with Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif and the delegation accompanying him, who are currently on a visit to the country.
They discussed bilateral relations as well as GCC-Iranian ties. The two sides also discussed issues of joint interest and exchanged views on the latest regional and international developments.
HE the Foreign Minister stressed Qatar’s commitment to having good ties with all its neighbouring countries to promote security and stability in the region. The Iranian Foreign Minister expressed his hope for further development of bilateral ties. He added that Iran looks to co-operating with Qatar to find solutions to many of the regional issues and establish security and stability in the region.
