The objective is to develop multisectoral integrated national action plan to combat AMR in Qatar with the objectives of the global action plan as well as the Gulf Co-operation Council strategy. It also aims at establishing “One Health Approach” of multisectoral group and provides training for the task force on their roles and responsibilities to contain AMR problem at the national level.
The national focal points from the MoPH and the Ministry of Municipality and Environment are contributing to the workshop. Staff from Hamad Medical Corporation, Primary Health Care Corporation, Ministry of Interior, Medical Section, Qatar Armed Force Medical Department, Qatar Petroleum, Sidra Medical and Research Center, Aspetar, private hospitals and representatives from Qatar University and Hamad Bin Khalifa University will also take part in the workshop.
