Ooredoo will present an “exciting insight” into the future of communications in Qatar at the ‘Qitcom 2017’ exhibition, showcasing its data experience leadership with a range of advanced solutions.
As the official sponsor of the event, Ooredoo will use its presence at the event to demonstrate some of the cutting-edge solutions “that will change people’s lives in Qatar,” with an incredible range of digital and data services.
This will include a preview of Qatar’s first-ever 5G technology.
Ooredoo’s futureproof 5G networks will provide the enhanced speeds and improved latency necessary to deliver next generation mobile technologies for all of Qatar.
Alongside a world-class partner, Ooredoo will demonstrate the power and performance of 5G to visitors at Qitcom.

To display its “growing prowess” in the data centre and cyber security field, the Ooredoo booth at Qitcom will include a live interactive Security Operations Centre (SOC) for visitors to test. Ooredoo’s Security Operations Centre delivers comprehensive 24x7 security monitoring, incident detection and response.
Ooredoo will also host an area at its pavilion covering its Sport Venue Management Platform.
This presentation will showcase Smart Stadium concepts and the different challenges of managing a venue in terms of public safety, efficient control and optimal operations.
The display aims to offer glimpses at the latest technologies available for a great stadium experience ahead of the upcoming international sporting events in Qatar.
Following the ‘smart technology’ theme, the company will collaborate with local and international partners to display the latest mHealth and Connected Home technologies.
These will include a virtual health check-up, where visitors can be tested for up to 29 conditions and a solution to support remote patient monitoring.
To give a glimpse into the future of connected living for Qatar’s families, the booth will include a ‘Smart Home’ mock-up living room, showing smart technology for residences in Qatar.
Qitcom is one of Qatar’s most important technology events, as it brings together leading technology organisations and top players from across Qatar and the region, showcasing the latest innovations and inviting businesses to take part in industry panels and discussions.
