Qafco organised an appreciation ceremony recently to honour different entities and personnel who participated in the company’s health, safety and environment awareness programme, which took place at Mesaieed in January.
The governmental and semi-governmental representatives who represented their entities on the HSE awareness programme and exhibition attended the ceremony.
They are the Ministry of Interior directorates represented by the General Directorate of Traffic; the General Directorate of Civil Defence; the General Directorate of Industrial Security Department; the Establishments and Missions Security Department; the Public Relations Department; the Permanent Committee for Drugs and Alcohol Affairs; the Security Systems Department, and the Community Policing Department. Additionally, Hamad Medical Corporation, Tarsheed and Qatar Biobank took part.
Dr Hamed al-Marwani, Qafco chief administration officer said: “We are thankful to all those who participated with us in our health, safety and environment awareness programme and contributed immensely to its success. We also recognise the important role shared by these entities toward achieving the objectives the programme targeted.
“Qafco organised the health, safety and environment awareness programme as part of its social responsibility based on its deep conviction on the importance of health and safety for all.”
Maryam Mattar, Qafco’s acting Public Relations and Communications manager said: “I would like to extend my gratitude and appreciation to different departments of the Ministry of Interior, Hamad Medical Corporation, Tarsheed – Qatar General Electricity Corporation, and Qatar Bio Bank for their participation in the programme.”
Qafco’s HSE awareness programme saw a huge turnout of around six thousand people this year. During the event, many shows and exhibits related to security and safety were displayed. Guidance and educational brochures were distributed to the visitors.
