The General Directorate of Civil Defence (GDCD) observed the World Civil Defence Day yesterday with various programmes under the theme ‘Hand in hand to prevent risks’ at the Officers’ Club in Civil Defence. The event was attended by GDCD assistant director general Brigadier Hamad Othman al-Dohaimi along with directors of several departments at the Ministry of Interior. A challenge championship saw the Wadi Sail team coming first, followed by Aziziya team, South team and North team in second, third and fourth places, respectively.
