Somalia’s new 
premier


HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani sent Thursday a cable of congratulations to Hassan Ali Khaire on the occasion of his appointment as prime minister of Somalia.
Meanwhile, Qatar participated in the inaugural ceremony of President of Somalia Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed Farmajo which was attended by a number of heads of state, senior officials and representatives of international and regional organisations.
Qatar was represented at the inaugural ceremony by Acting Charge d’Affaires at Qatar’s embassy in Somalia, Hassan bin Mohammed Hamza Asad.


Qatari envoy
meets Sudan’s
chief of staff



Sudanese Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Emadeddine Mostafa Adawi, met Qatar’s ambassador to Sudan Rashid bin Abdulrahman al-Nuaimi in Khartoum yesterday.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed bilateral relations and means of boosting and developing them in addition to issues of mutual interest.


Qatar attends
workshop on
human rights



Qatar participated yesterday in a workshop on terrorism and protecting human rights.
The event took place at the Arab League Council’s headquarters.
Qatar’s delegation included assistant director of the human rights department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohamed bin Youssef Jassim al-Thani and assistant director of the international co-operation department at the Ministry of Interior Brigadier Nasser Youssef al-Mal, who is also a member of the country’s national committee for combating terrorism.
