Travel management specialist Regency Travel & Tours celebrated the sixth Qatar National Sport Day recently.
The company organises a host of activities for its employees every year to commemorate the special occasion. This year’s celebrations were held at Mesaimeer Sports Club, with all the employees in attendance and eager to participate.
There was a brief discussion on the importance and benefits of physical exercise through sports, healthy living and good eating habits, which was followed by a photo session and a number of sporting activities.
Speaking on the occasion, Regency Travel & Tours CEO Tareq Abdullatif Taha said: “The importance of sports in developing positive personal traits cannot be undermined, and at Regency we encourage our employees to include physical activities in their daily routine and gain from the oft-neglected benefits of physical exercise and sports.
“Many of our employees are located at our branches across Qatar to serve our guests. National Sport Day gives them an opportunity to get together and celebrate the spirit of this initiative, which promotes sports culture and camaraderie among our employees.”
One of the highlights of the day was a friendly football game between Al Asmakh Real Estate Development and Regency Travel & Tours.
