The Pearl-Qatar is all set to celebrate National Sport Day (NSD) today with an array of fun-filled sporting activities, aimed at promoting an active and healthy lifestyle.
United Development Company (UDC), the master developer of The Pearl-Qatar, in collaboration with the General Retirement and Social Insurance Authority, has invited the public to take part in several sport competitions, recreational and wellness activities, and games from 7.30am to 2pm at 31 La Croisette, Porto Arabia.
Organisers have divided the venue into a number of zones: medical; yoga and aerobics; the kids zone for pool football, basketball, wall climbing, strike out game, replay racing, and giant dart; and the warm up zone for treadmill, bikes, steppers, action roller tables, table tennis and xbox Kinect stations.
Registration will be from 7.30am to 9am while a free medical check up will take place from 8am to 9am before the kids’ stage activities from 9am to 10am.
The walkathon, as well as other activities, also takes place at 9am to 10am, and a seminar from 10am to 11.30am.
