The Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) has planned a host of activities both online and in its premises to encourage healthier habits and a more active lifestyle in line with Qatar National Sport Day (NSD).
In collaboration with Ghanim al-Sulaiti, co-founder of Evergreen Organics, Doha’s first-ever vegan café, the QFC launched an Instagram photo competition calling on all residents to share their favourite healthy plant-based recipes.
The competition will run until the end of February with star judge al-Sulaiti rewarding three winners with iPads including healthy recipes courtesy of Evergreen Organics. Employees were also challenged to go vegan for a day.
The QFC collaborated with Anytime Fitness, Sports Corner and F45 Training to offer employees various classes, ranging from Yoga and Pilates to full body cardio workouts.
“Our internal and external campaigns were initiated with the objective to allow QFC employees and firms to interact outside normal business, and unite under a common vision for a greener, healthier and more active community,” said Yousef Fakhroo, chief marketing and corporate communications officer at the QFC Authority.
As part of its commitment to give back to the community, a donation box was set up in QFC premises, where employees and visitors alike were encouraged to donate sports clothes, toys and equipment which will be distributed to children across the country.
