The first lunar eclipse of 2017 can be seen in Qatar between 1.34am and 3.45am on Saturday.
A statement from the Calendar House quoting its officials Dr Bashir Marzouq and Mohamed al-Nasari explained the eclipse will be penumbral.
In a penumbral eclipse the moon passes through an outer region of the Earth's shadow called the penumbra. This is the outer part of the Earth's shadow.
The penumbral eclipse will be start at 1.34am and the greatest of lunar eclipse will be at 3.45am and the penumbral eclipse will end before sunrise over Doha sky at 5.53am.
The eclipse duration will be four hours and 19 minutes.
