HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and President of Niger Mahamadou Issoufou held a session of official talks at the Emiri Diwan yesterday.
HH the Deputy Emir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani attended the session. A number of Qatari ministers and members of the official delegation accompanying Niger’s president also attended the session.
The talks focused on relations between the two countries and means of developing them on all fronts, in addition to issues of common concern.
Niger’s president handed HH the Emir the Order of Merit, the highest honour in Niger.
Earlier on arrival at the Emiri Diwan, Niger’s president was accorded an official reception ceremony.
Following the talks, the Emir hosted a dinner banquet, at the Emiri Diwan, in honour of President Mahamadou Issoufou and his accompanying delegation.
The banquet was attended by a number of their excellencies ministers.
President Mahamadou Issoufou arrived yesterday in Doha on an official visit to Qatar.
President Issoufou and his accompanying delegation were welcomed at Hamad International
Airport by HE the Minister of Municipality and Environment Mohamed bin Abdullah al-Rumaihi.
