Barwa Real Estate Company has awarded the construction of the ‘Barwa Village Extension’ project to contractor Insha Co, it was announced.
The project, which has a total value of QR63mn and a duration of 18 months, is an extension to the existing Barwa Village, and “reflects quality in design.”
It will be constructed on an 11,096sqm plot of land and consists of a four-storey building with a total built-up area of 34,492sqm.
The strip building’s ground and mezzanine floors contain 56 shops, 10 food and beverage units, and four anchor stores with areas between 72sqm and 740sqm, in addition to a 1,338sqm supermarket.
The first, second, and third floors contain 177 residential apartments, comprising 84 one-bedroom apartments with a built-up area between 73sqm and 76sqm, 87 two bedroom apartments with a built-up area between 111sqm and 113sqm, and six studios with built-up areas between 47sqm and 58sqm.
The infrastructure work includes construction of two distribution substations and all required utilities for electricity, potable water, drainage, hard and soft landscape, CCTV, roads, and car parks, with all storage tanks and pump rooms for potable water, firefighting, and gas.
The ‘Barwa Village Extension’ project is the first project launched by Barwa Real Estate in 2017 after the launching of Manateq, Madinat Al Mawater, and Dara A projects in 2016 as part of the company’s business plan.
Barwa Real Estate also stressed that it has no conflict of interest with Insha Co.
