The road connecting Street 33 of the Industrial Area and Street 200 going towards the Logistics Village will be closed for four months from Friday, according to an Ashghal communique.

The route is used by a large number of trucks and heavy vehicles passing through the south of the Industrial Area.

During the closure, commuters heading towards the Logistics Village will be required to follow a 3km long diversion route along Street 33, Street 2001 and Street 200 via the New Industrial Area and a newly constructed bridge (as shown on the attached map).

The traffic diversion is essential for connecting Ashghal’s East Corridor and West Corridor projects.

Once completed, it will deliver 22km dual carriageway with five lanes in each direction and multiple major interchanges to create a new strategic link in the southern area, connecting Hamad Port, Hamad International Airport and the Industrial Area.
