Poor visibility is expected early today, followed by strong winds in parts of the country by the afternoon, the Qatar Met department has said.
Strong winds are also likely in offshore areas by this afternoon along with high seas, according to the weather office.
A wind speed of 10-20 knots has been forecast in inshore areas, reaching a high of 25 knots in some places at times. In offshore areas, the wind speed may go up to 25 knots.
Strong northwesterly wind activity is likely tomorrow as well, the Met department has said.
The detailed forecast for inshore areas today says misty to foggy conditions are expected in some places at first. Scattered clouds are also likely and there is a weak chance of light rain in some areas. This will be followed by dusty conditions.
Visibility, meanwhile, may drop to 2km or less at times.
Offshore areas will see slightly dusty and cloudy conditions at times, and there is a chance of light rain towards the north, the report states. The sea level may go up to 8ft by the afternoon.
A minimum temperature of 14C is expected today in Abu Samra, while in Doha it will be 20C. The maximum, on the other hand, will be 28C in Abu Samra and 25C in Doha.
Yesterday, a minimum temperature of 12C was recorded in Abu Samra and 13C in Karana and Turayna until 5.30pm. In the capital, the minimum was 19C in the Doha airport area.
