The State of Qatar has condemned the bombing, which targeted a market in Pakistan’s northwest Kurram tribal region, killing and wounding dozens of people. In a statement yesterday, the Foreign Ministry said “this criminal act which targeted innocent civilians, contravenes all human values and principles and international norms.” The statement reiterated Qatar’s firm position that renounces violence and terrorism in all their forms and manifestations, whatever their motives and causes. It expressed Qatar’s sincere condolences to the government, people of Pakistan and the families of the victims who were killed by this evil crime.
