A Doha Criminal Court has sentenced a Bangladeshi man to 10 years in jail and ordered his subsequent deportation for illicit drugs dealing.

Local Arabic daily Arrayah has reported that the court also sentenced another Bangladeshi man to five years and subsequent deportation in the same case.
Each of the defendants was ordered to pay QR200,000 as fine.
The two defendants were spotted selling the illicit drug amphetamine after a source informed the Drug Prevention Department of the Ministry of Interior that the duo wanted to do transaction worth QR40,000.
Eventually, both were arrested by the police while trying to sell the drug and around 978 pills were found with them.
