Qatar-based Taleb Group has joined hands with Turkey’s Ruzgar Group to deliver medical services of international standards in the country through the establishment of The Turkish Hospital in Doha's New Salata.

The 100-bedded hospital, which is manned by medical professionals mainly from Turkey, will start functioning on January 17 with a soft opening.
While announcing this, Managing Director of Taleb Group Mohamed Taleb al Khauri and Ruzgar Group Managing Director Dr Volkan Uygunucarlar said they were looking forward to delivering world standards in healthcare through the Turkish Hospital, where they said a host of medical services would be available to the visitors.
The hospital is backed by a team of nearly 40 doctors, mainly Turkish and other professionals of different nationalities. Besides emergency, casualty, diagnosis and treatment units, the hospital also hosts several other departments.
Apart from five operation theatres, the centre also has a 5-bed ICU and facilities for angiography, diagnostics, laboratories and pharmacy among others.
The surgical department consists of orthopedics and traumatology, neuro surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, general surgery, plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery, ophthalmology, diagnostics, cardio vascular, ENT, urology, anaesthesiology units.
The internal departments are paediatrics, internal medicine, dermatology and hair transplant, pulmonology, radiology, neurology, gastroenterology, physical therapy and rehabilitative care and micro biology.
Stressing that their mission was to bring the highest levels of medical standards to the country’s people, Dr Uygunucarlar said the hospital would cater to the requirements of not only the residents from this country but also visitors from the neighbouring Gulf states .
While promising to provide high quality care in a responsive way, Dr Uygunucarlar hoped the hospital's medical professionals would be able to deliver the best possible services to the visitors.
Taleb al-Khauri said their group, which is in the 62nd year of operations in Qatar, has remarkably good stakes in such areas as real estate, construction, manufacture of building materials, distribution of top level international construction machinery and heavy equipment, distribution of select automobiles, education, management, hospitality management, hotels and medical management.
Later, the hospital officials said they are negotiating with some of the major insurance firms on the possibility of introducing medical insurance to the patients.
