The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Diplomatic institute celebrated yesterday the graduation of its 10th class, consisting of 30 trainees.
Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ahmed bin Hassan al-Hammadi highlighted, during a speech he gave to mark the occasion, the qualities that make a diplomat.
He said they were honesty, discipline, respect as well as good time-management abilities.
He stressed on the importance of sharpening the classical Arabic language of diplomats, since it is their mother tongue.
He called on the graduates to put a strong effort in that regard as well as obtaining the skills necessary for learning other languages.
He added that achieving a high status for a country cannot come without hard work that develops people capable of carrying out the vision of the wise leadership.
For his part, Khalid Mohamed al-Nuaimi gave a speech on behalf of all graduates and thanked HE the Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani for his unlimited support to the young generation of diplomats.
