Qatar’s leading logistics provider GWC recently received certification for its Integrated Management System, renewing its suite of three international standards including the Quality Management System ISO 9001:2008, the Environmental Management System ISO 14001:2004, and the Occupational Health and Safety Management System OHSAS 18001:2007 for all the company’s facilities and business units.
The certification was awarded after a surveillance audit performed by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance, which presented the certificate to the GWC senior director (Commercial Services) Naji Nassar, during a ceremony held in the company’s headquarters at D-Ring Road, Doha.
“As an integral element of GWC’s Integrated Management System (IMS) policy, we are committed to provide excellent supply chain solutions in coordination with all the operations of our organisation, in order to achieve customer satisfaction while complying with the international standards, legal and other statutory requirements,” said Nassar.
“Our dedicated quality, health, safety, and environment team ensures that our services remain the most reliable in the industry, while keeping a high degree of responsiveness towards our clients’ needs,” he added.
The international standard for the integrated management systems measures how well a company integrates all of an organisation’s systems and processes into one complete framework, enabling an organisation to work as a single unit with unified objectives.
In order to receive this certification, GWC submitted to an audit of its documentation and facilities to ensure compliance with all three of these standards individually and in coordination with each other.
“At GWC, it is always a pleasure to offer services, solutions and operations in accordance with the latest and highest international standards, all while remaining true to our passion of fostering the drive and tenacity to innovate and deliver, thereby remaining the provider of choice in the State of Qatar and beyond,” said GWC Group CEO Ranjeev Menon.
