Poor visibility is expected in most parts of the country in the early hours today due to foggy conditions, the Qatar Met department has said.
Visibility may drop to 1km or less during this period, according to the weather report.
The detailed forecast for inshore areas says it will be misty/foggy in most places at first, followed by moderate temperatures during the day with some clouds. It will be relatively cold by night.
Hazy to misty conditions are likely in offshore areas, too, and some clouds are also expected.
The mercury level, meanwhile, has risen of late and similar conditions are likely today.
For instance, a minimum temperature of 15C is expected in Abu Samra, Dukhan and Ruwais today, followed by 16C in Al Khor, 18C in Mesaieed and Wakrah, and 19C in Doha. The maximum, on the other hand, will be 26C in Doha and 27C in Dukhan and Abu Samra.
Yesterday, a minimum temperature of 15C was recorded in Karana until 7pm, while in other places it was higher.
The Doha airport area saw a minimum of 20C. The maximum ranged from 21C to 27C in the country.
Humid conditions and a sharp drop in visibility were reported from different places last night, according to tweets by the Met department.
