Cricketer Harbhajan Singh rubbished reports claiming he will join the Congress party in Punjab. Singh said he had no intention of joining politics in near future.  “I have no intentions of joining politics any time soon. Please stop spreading rumours,” Singh said in a tweet. Punjab will elect its new legislative assembly early in 2017.  It is also believed that cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu, who quit the Bharatiya Janata Party, will join the Congress soon.
