A detailed study should be conducted by the entities concerned to determine the future needs of all fishing ports in the country to enhance the fisheries wealth, the Central Municipal Council (CMC) urged yesterday.
At its regular bi-weekly session, the council issued a number of recommendations on introducing more recreation and water activity facilities at Al Khor Park in particular and the other public parks in the country.
Another study should be conducted on the possibility of organising festivities, shows and other entertainment activities at such parks.
The council further recommended that more water fountains and waterfalls should be added to such parks with particular stress on safety and security, especially for children under five.
