The blue-eyed Arshad Khan aka ‘chai wala’ from Islamabad is on a roll.
From making his runway debut at the Bridal Couture Week (BCW) 2016 to his first appearance in a music video, Chai wala is literally everywhere.
Khan, who left the Internet’s heart racing with his good looks, is all geared up to leave for England for his debut film project.
Khan revealed that he had turned down several offers to act in a movie previously.
“I was being offered a number of films, but I didn’t like the roles and scripts that were offered, so I turned them down,” he said.
The internet sensation has now signed a film titled Kabeer in which he will be essaying the role of hero’s brother.
“Even in this film I was offered a number of roles but I felt the character of hero’s brother suited my personality the most.
No doubt, my role in this film is very important,” he said.
The chai wala also told that he is travelling abroad in this connection.
“They even offered me a hefty amount of money but I can’t really disclose the number right now. One thing is for sure, that I’m travelling to Dubai and England for the shoot of my first film,” he mentioned.
“Whatever amount I am being offered is the equivalent of 1 crore to me because what really matters is signing my first film,” said Khan, while adding that he is quite excited about starting his film career.
It is important to note that Khan in a previous interview had rejected film talk, terming it as ‘disgraceful.’
“It is not honourable work. Pashtuns always look for work that is honourable If I can find some clean, honourable work, I will certainly do it,” he is reported to have said.
The 18-year-old tea seller became an overnight sensation when a photographer’s Instagram shot of him working at his tea stall was shared tens of thousands of times.
Following his fame, he also landed a modelling contract.
“I have been told I have beautiful eyes by many girls but nothing ever happened. Since my picture has gone viral, I realise that I am famous now,” Khan had said.
