The parks at Al Thumama East and Al Duhail will be opened on Monday at 9.30am and 11am, respectively, by the Public Gardens Department director Mohamed Ali al-Khouri. Al Shamal Park is to be opened on Tuesday by the official at 10am.
The locations for the new parks were chosen considering the high population density in the respective areas. Al Duhail Park, which falls within the jurisdiction of Doha Municipality, is located north of Duhail area on a space of 6,579sqm. The family park will be open during the week days from noon to midnight and on Fridays from 8am until midnight. During the Holy Month of Ramadan, the park will be open from 1pm to 3am.
The park gives the public many facilities and services such as water coolers, covered parking lots, toilets, kids play area, playgrounds for various games, and covered resting areas within the serenity of greenery. Al Duhail Park has as many as 39 types of trees, shrubs, and perennial plants, besides a number of seasonal flowers.
Al Thumama East Park, located within the city of Doha on a space of 4,689 sqm, is also allocated for families. It also has water coolers, covered parking lots, toilets, kids play area, playgrounds for various games, and covered resting areas within the serenity of the plant cover.
The park has a diversity of plants and trees amounting 37 types of different trees, shrubs and perennial, in addition to a number of seasonal flowers.
Al Shammal Park is located within the jurisdiction of Al Shamal Municipality on a space of 11,930sqm, with 2,822sqm designated for various services such as prayer rooms, toilets for women and men, guard's room, and a technical room, in addition to a storeroom of a 31sqm and 18sqm cafeteria. There are also ample green areas; pedestrian passageways, bike tracks, and kids play area with safe rubber surface. The park, equipped with spacious playgrounds, will also have Wi-Fi.

Three new parks are to be opened to the public on Monday and Tuesday by the Public Gardens Department of the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) on the occasion of the Qatar National Day.
