The LuLu Photography Contest and Exhibition will be held at LuLu Hypermarket, Barwa City, tomorrow.
Under the theme ‘Nature of Qatar’, LuLu Hypermarket Group has organised the contest for amateur photographers for the first time in Qatar.
In a press statement yesterday, LuLu Group said it invited entries and nominations two weeks ago and received a sizeable number of entries from amateur photographers, including students of various schools. The contest includes two age categories – up to 18 years and 18 years and above.
According to the management, a panel of judges chaired by Arif Hussain, professional photographer, will now shortlist the entries and the exhibition and contest will be held at 5pm tomorrow at LuLu Hypermarket, Barwa City. All selected pictures will be exhibited.
All contestants are required to be present at the exhibition hall, the LuLu management said, while also requesting the participation of the general public and students to make the occasion a memorable one.
Winners in the first category (up to 18 years) are entitled to get Nikon DSLR D3300, Nikon D/Cam Coolpix S8200 and LuLu Gift voucher worth QR500 as the first, second and third prizes, respectively. Winning participants in the second category (above 18 years) will receive Nikon DSLR D3400, Nikon D/Cam Coolpix B500 and LuLu Gift voucher worth QR500 as the first, second and third prizes, respectively.
The exhibition will continue until December 18.
