The Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC) has issued new application forms for establishing companies, including single individual owned companies, with limited liabilities.

If the old forms had multiple pages, the new ones comprise only two pages for companies and just one page for single individual owned companies, both with limited liabilities.
All such forms are available on the MEC website www.mec.gov.qa and investors can download and print them free of charge, the MEC said.

The move is part of MEC’s constant efforts to improve the laws and procedures regulating the mechanism of establishing companies, in addition to easing the process of establishing new companies.
The new forms are expected to create a positive investment environment for businesspersons and investors in the country.
MEC had earlier prepared a draft decision on these forms. The decision was approved by the cabinet at its regular meeting no 39 for 2015, held on December 9, 2015. Ultimately, it was issued by decision no 334 for 2016 of HE the Minister of Economy and Commerce.
