Qatari Youth Club at the College of the North Atlantic-Qatar (CNA-Q) organised the most impressive Qatar National Day (QND) celebration to date on the campus.
Qatari Youth Club, a new student-led group that started on campus last year, has made an impressive contribution to the preservation and enhancement of Qatari values at CNA-Q.
The campus was draped in maroon and white, with hundreds of flags waving proudly at the courtyard as children from three local schools entertained with lively dance performances. Hundreds of students, faculty, staff and special guests enjoyed traditional Qatari food and a classic car show.
Qatari Youth Club leader and students’ representative council president, Faisal al-Mohannadi said, “National Day is a day to recall our glorious past, celebrate the present, and to look forward to a very bright future. We all have a duty to this country. HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani said ‘Qatar deserves the best.’ So we are moving with all determination to provide the best for our beloved country Qatar.”
CNA-Q always hosts a special event in advance of the official Qatar National Day held on December 18, as the college students start the busy exam period. This year it was held on Tuesday, December 6.
“We are very proud of our Qatari students who led the organisation of our campus Qatar National Day celebrations. Their leadership is an outstanding example of the national pride instilled in our students, and proof that Qatar’s future is in good hands with bright leaders such as these,” said CNA-Q president Dr Ken MacLeod.
