HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani will head today to Bahrain to chair Qatar’s delegation to the meetings of the 37th session of the GCC Supreme Council to be held in Manama.
Meanwhile, HE the Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani (below) participated in the 141st supplementary meeting of ministerial council in preparation for the GCC Summit. The meeting adopted the draft agenda of the summit, and discussed topics on its agenda.
It approved the recommendations and decisions that will be submitted to the GCC Supreme Council.
HE the Foreign Minister participated in the GCC foreign ministers joint meeting with the British Minister of Middle East and North Africa Tobias Ellwood. The meeting reviewed aspects of co-operation between the GCC countries and the United Kingdom in all fields, and discussed the latest political developments on the regional and international arenas, particularly the situation in Syria, Iraq, and Yemen and international efforts to combat terrorism.
