Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) has won two awards in the ‘Best Sustainability Reporting for Asia 2016’ competition held in Singapore.
The awards were instituted by CRS Works, an international agency working on issues of sustainability, working under the UN supervision.
The ceremony was held at the British High Commission in Singapore. Camela Finning, UN representative for Sustainability in Asia and Commonwealth countries, was present at the ceremony.
Kahramaa won the award for ‘Best Materiality’ reporting competing against nine international agencies. The corporation also won the award for the ‘Best Stakeholders Reporting’.
Kahramaa also received an ‘appreciation certificate’ for being the best finalist for three other awards for the categories of ‘Best Environmental Reporting’, ‘Supply Chain Reporting’ and the ‘Best Asia Sustainability Reporting 2016’ on the topic of “Rationalisation of resources with added values.”
