Today is the last day for the National Measles, Mumps and Rubella vaccination campaign, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has announced.
The vaccination is being given free of charge at Primary Health Care Centres, Qatar Petroleum clinics and RasGas Al Khor as well as the participating private medical hospitals and centres.
“Until November 27, more than 163,000 children were vaccinated,” the ministry said in a statement yesterday.
The MoPH has urged parents of children up to 13 years who have not yet received this booster dose, to avail of the vaccination at any of the participating health facilities.
Parents can take their children also to any of the following private health facilities to get the vaccination free of charge: Al Ahli hospital, Al Emadi hospital, Doha Clinic hospital, American hospital clinics, Aster clinic Muntazah, Mother and Infant Medical Complex, Alesraa Clinic Centre, Aster Plus Medical Centre Al Hilal, Aster Medical Centre Al Khor, Altaai Medical Centre, the Syrian American Medical Centre, Family Medical Centre, Alhayat Medical Centre, Apollo Medical Centre, Dr Maher Abbas Clinic, Almansoor Medical Complex, Alkayali Medical Centre, Tadawi Medical Complex, Atlas Medical Centre, Future Medical Centre and Aljameel Medical Centre.

Qatar renews Palestine support
Qatar has reiterated its continued support for the Palestinian people and its quest to regain its rights.
This came in a speech by delivered by Qatar’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations and international organisations in Vienna ambassador Ali Khalfan al-Mansouri.
“Today we renew the celebration of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in its resolution 32/40 on the second of December 1977,” he said.


Jet Airways begins global fare sale
Jet Airways has announced the launch of a global fare sale for guests making travel plans from Doha to India, Saarc and Asean regions.
The sale runs until December 2, the Indian carrier has said in a statement.
The airline’s Premiere and Economy guests can avail of up to 15% discount on base fares during the year-end fare sale. The offer is applicable on Jet Airways flights originating from Doha to destinations in India, Saarc and Asean regions, the statement notes.

Prizes with Vodafone’s recharge card

A winner will take home the grand prize of QR100,000 and 15 other cash prizes worth QR10,000 each are up for grabs with Vodafone’s Happy QR25 recharge card.
Customers will also get thousands of chances to win free data and free credit. Until February 2017, customers who avail of the Happy 25 recharge card simply need to scratch the first pin on the back of the card to receive their QR25 of credit and the second pin which will reveal if they are a winner.
Vodafone has been introducing new prizes with its Happy QR25 recharge card. Past prizes included handsets and gold coins.
