Doha Bank has again bagged top honours at ‘The Banker Middle East Industry Awards 2016’ in three main categories, it was announced in a statement.
The awards, ‘Best Web/Mobile Banking Service’ for the Doha Bank mobile app, ‘Best Savings Account’ for Al Dana Savings scheme and ‘Best Co-Branded Credit Card’ for the Lulu Doha Bank shopping credit card, were received by the head of IT, Mohamed Abid, head of Retail Gul Khan, and Corporate branch manager Hassan Kamal.
“The awards indicate the success of Doha Bank’s innovation in the retail segment. These awards are an acknowledgement for the innovative offerings to our customers using technology. The awards are also a source of great encouragement for us to push our limits in creating products and services that meet the changing needs of our customers,” said Doha Bank CEO Dr R Seetharaman.
The Lulu Doha Bank shopping credit card offers an “unbeatable” value proposition on everyday spends, with cardholders saving 5% on every purchase via shopping points each time they shop at Lulu stores in Qatar.
It is the only product of its kind that allow customers to enjoy instant savings on groceries as the points earned can be redeemed without any limitations or restrictions, and customers are further kept engaged in a year-round calendar of offers and promotions.
Doha Bank’s Al Dana savings account offers customers a wide range of banking benefits, including a free Visa International debit card and online-, SMS-, and the newly-introduced Apple Watch-banking services.
Customers can also manage their utility bill payments through their Al Dana account and transfer funds across multiple accounts and to third parties, as well as send money overseas at the most competitive exchange rates.
