Petrol prices in Qatar will go up by Dh5-10 a litre next month while there will be no change in the diesel price in December, according to the Ministry of Energy and Industry.
The ministry on Tuesday said the 91-octane Premium gasoline will cost QR1.45/litre in December, a rise of Dh10 from QR1.35 in November, while the 95-octane Super will cost QR1.50/litre, an increase of Dh5 from QR1.45 now.
Diesel, on the other hand, will remain unchanged at QR1.40/litre in December.
Fuel prices in Qatar were allowed to fluctuate in response to changes in the global market from May 1.
Every month, a special committee comprising representatives from various government bodies reviews fuel prices (gasoline and diesel) and makes recommendations on proposed prices for the local market accordingly.
Petrol prices had increased in November, by Dh10 a litre for both Premium and Super, after falling in September and October.
