The Bedaya Centre for Entrepreneurship and Career Development (Bedaya Centre), a joint initiative by Qatar Development Bank and Silatech, has launched the week-long ‘Career Awareness Week’, which will run until December 2. 
The event is being held at The Amphitheater – La Croisette (30) Porto Arabia – The Pearl-Qatar in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
Bedaya Centre vice chairman Faisal al-Emadi said: “We are dedicated to achieving the goals sets forward in Qatar National Vision 2030, and for this we are striving to make a significant contribution to the development of the human capital Qatar needs to support the country’s vision and future as pursued by the state under the wise leadership of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani.”
He added: “At Bedaya, we are fully aware of the importance of career development in the future life of our next generation and their decisions and the positive impact they will have on the community.” 
Bedaya Centre general manager Reem al-Sowaidi said: “The main idea of creating Bedaya Centre was to enable and empower young people to have access to the right guidance, proper training, and effective support in order to succeed in work and make a positive contribution to our society.”
The Career Awareness Week aims to shed the light on the possibility of creating a generation of young people capable of investing in their abilities and talents to effectively serve the community by attending workshops and training sessions attended by top names in diverse sectors in the 
country. 
The event strives to raise awareness among parents, students, counsellors, advisers, and employees about career development. The career forum provides a platform to increase awareness about the importance of understanding the required skills in the local market, the recruitment procedures, and the needed talents for every Job. 
Bedaya Centre career development manager Ola Abdin said: “The Career Awareness Week is a great opportunity for the audience to meet with key people from different sectors from the local market to help them develop their skills, knowledge and experience, and to develop a clear understanding of the values, norms and standards adopted by the institutions and companies in the country.”
The Career Awareness Week is targeting all secondary schools students, parents, human resources staff, counsellors, career advisers, people working in the field of human development, and job seekers.
