HE the Chief of Staff of Qatari Armed Forces Major General Ghanim bin Shaheen al-Ghanim met the Head of External Relations at the Turkish Ministry of Defence, Brigadier Hussein Doman, and his accompanying delegation in Doha yesterday.
Talks dealt with aspects of military co-operation between Qatar and Turkey.


Farewell reception
for South African
ambassador


Secretary General of the Foreign Ministry Dr Ahmed bin Hassan al-Hammadi yesterday held a farewell ceremony in honour of the outgoing South African ambassador to Qatar, Saad Cachalia.
A number of heads of diplomatic missions accredited to the country and directors of Foreign Ministry departments attended the ceremony that took place at the Diplomatic Club.


Cuban embassy 
to open book of 
condolences


The Cuban embassy has announced that a book of condolences will be open until December 4, from 10am to 6pm, for people to pay their respects to ‘Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz,’ who died on Saturday. 
The embassy is located at Building 41, 802 St., Zone 66, New Dafna, West Bay Lagoon, Doha.
