You have two wheels in the air and are staring into the sky when the instructor asks you to nudge the Range Rover straight ahead.
You feather the throttle and then, after what seems like ages, your right wheel dips down and makes contact with firm ground. And, after the relief, the rush of adrenaline floods your senses.
This was one of the activities held as part of the Jaguar Land Rover Experiential Event, organised by Alfardan Premier Motors Co, the exclusive retailer of Jaguar Land Rover in Qatar.
The venue at The Pearl-Qatar was converted into an enthusiast’s dream from November 24 until yesterday, as they got to experience different aspects of the vehicles from the Jaguar Land Rover stables. The second activity - Land Rover Scored Precision Activity - was meant to test precise driving skills. This time, the participants were given a Land Rover and they had to parallel park and then complete a 360-degree manoeuvre – while being timed. Participants couldn’t be faster or slower than the time set by the experts.  
Other activities included a Land Rover Terrain Trailer Activation where attendees were able to challenge each other. The activities are part of the Land Rover Experience Drive Tour, a regional drive experience, which wants to introduce more people to the brand and showcase the capabilities of the vehicles in the Mena region.
The winner was invited to attend the Land Rover Experience Tour finale in Bahrain for a chance to win a Land Rover ‘adventure of a lifetime’ to South America.
Then, it was time to move over to the Jaguar area and experience the Art of Performance tour. The task at hand was to navigate the Jaguar XE through a series of cones. The cones had lights on top, which were electronically controlled and indicated the path the driver was to take.
Participants are judged on distance, time and accuracy, and it’s called the Jaguar Smart Cone Challenge — a technology that has been patented by the British manufacturer. The scores of the general public are recorded and the individual with the best score will be invited to compete in the Jaguar Smart Cone global finale, with the eventual winner being declared the coveted Art of Performance Tour Champion and winning a trip to an international Drive Event.
