Netherlands embassy has launched a visa application centre in partnership with VFS Global in Doha.
The facility is located on the first floor of Abdul Jaleel Business Centre on the Airport Road.
Services at the centre started on November 6, the embassy said in a statement.
Visitors can also apply for a Caribbean visa at the centre if they are planning a short stay in the Caribbean parts of the Netherlands, such as Aruba, Curaçao, St Maarten, and the Caribbean Netherlands (Bonaire, St Eustatius and Saba), the statement added.
The centre has a dedicated Premium Lounge where applicants can enjoy exclusive, personalised services. It also has ample parking space.
VFS Global, in partnership with Mannai Trading Company, has been present in Qatar since 2005 and currently operates visa application centres for seven other client governments in the country - Australia, the UK, Canada, Croatia, Spain, Switzerland and Turkey.
The new centre will help make the visa procedure faster and smoother, with features such as: one-stop-shop for photocopy, photo-booth, and printing services; staff with local language capability; automated queue governance; dedicated country specific websites for easy access to information including visa categories, requirements, check-list and applicable fees and 100% secure handling of passports, documents and personal information.
The business hours are from 9am to 5pm (Sunday to Thursday). Submission timings: 9am to 4pm (except on holidays as declared by the embassy); passport collection: 4pm to 5pm.
VFS Global will be responsible only for accepting applications on behalf of the client missions, the statement said, adding the applications submitted will continue to be assessed and processed by the respective client missions.
Timelines for turnaround of visas are as per the discretion of the authorities.
