Prominent Indian entrepreneur and longtime Qatar resident C V Rappai’s mother Kunjila Vareed (89) passed away yesterday at her native Edathiruthy in Thrissur, Kerala.
Rappai is the CEO and director of Video Home & Jumbo Electronics, member of the board of directors and former chairman of Birla Public School, Doha. He is a Qatar resident since 1980.
Kunjila is the wife of the late Vareed Chirayath. Other than Rappai, the couple’s other children are retired teachers C V Cherupushpam, C V Silvy, C V Mary, Video Home & Jumbo Electronics marketing officer C V Tolly, teacher C V Jolly and the late C V Vincent.
Kunjila’s funeral will be held today at 4pm at Our Lady of Carmel Forane Church, Edathiruthy.
