Mashreq Qatar has announced that its “industry-leading” and award winning mobile banking application, Snapp, is now available on the Apple Watch, ushering in a new era of technology-driven banking for customers.
The bank said the move will offer “greater convenience” and enhanced security for Mashreq Qatar customers who can now manage their money on-the-go with a simple tap.
By just tapping the wrist, customers can now view their account balances, check recent transactions, and pay for purchases. Mashreq Qatar’s relentless focus on mobile banking innovation means that customers can use their Apple Watch, not only to stay updated on the latest bank’s offers and promotions, but can even request for a cardless cash withdrawal transaction.
A quick swipe on the wrist will also guide customers to their nearest ATM location, enabling them to make ATM cash withdrawals directly with ‘Cardless Cash’ service embedded in Snapp.
Mashreq Qatar said it is seeking to make banking smarter, more comfortable, and hassle-free. Extending its mobile banking app for Apple Watch represents the latest evolution of the bank’s digital banking solutions, and is designed to provide customers a new level of personalised banking experience empowered by technology, the bank said.
Tooran Asif, head, retail banking at Mashreq Qatar, said: “The introduction of Snapp on Apple Watch answers our customers’ need for greater flexibility and convenience in accessing their accounts on-the-go. It also reinforces Mashreq’s position as a leader in smart banking.”
Using the Snapp mobile banking app, customers can transfer funds to thousands of locations around the world and send cash via their mobile phone to friends and family anywhere in Qatar - even those who do not have an
account with Mashreq.
Mobile recharge and utility bill payments can be completed in seconds using the app, which also provides Forex rate alerts to keep customers informed about currency
movements 24/7.
