Muaither Head of Football Mubarak Ghanem expressed his joy as Muaither registered their third consecutive win of the season edging out Al Khor 1-0 on Friday evening. Ghanem spoke to the QSL Online, offering his thoughts on the run which has saw Muaither pull out of the QSL relegation zone.
“Muaither won’t surrender and will continue their campaign until the end of the league. We are well aware how difficult and tough it will be but our team is capable of overcoming these difficulties with more hard work and team spirit” explained Ghanem when asked about his sides upturn in fortunes.
Ghanem also was quick to praise the efforts of the whole team in recent weeks “I would like to thank the players who have worked so hard on the pitch. Whilst I would also like to thank the technical staff lead by Phillipe Birol, who has organized the team in such a positive manner.”
He continued: “What we have achieved in the previous three games is a clear proof of the work and determination which will lead us to success. He also thanked the Club Management chaired by Mr. Saleh Al Ajji for the supporting and the attending the team needs.”
Commenting on whether the team needs new players during the coming winter transfer window, he stated: “Currently we are focusing on the team work in order to continue the positive results. It is too early to take about the changes in January with new players.”
Looking forward to Muaither’s round eight clash against Al Rayyan, Ghanem stated that his side will be heading into the match full of confidence; “Al Rayyan are the QSL champions and have plenty of quality in the side. However Muaither we will be working hard to gain a good result. It is a tough task against Al Rayyan, but I have full confidence in the players and technical staff and their ability to put in a performance of real quality.”
