GWC has received the Enterprise Agility Award 2016 for ‘Logistics Innovation’ at a ceremony organised recently by BNC publishing at The Grand Hyatt in Doha. 
“We are delighted that GWC was recognised for its efforts towards developing innovative solutions and bespoke infrastructure in line with our clients’ needs and requirements,” said GWC director of public relations Abdulaziz al-Sahlawi during the ceremony.
The Enterprise Agility Awards honours enterprise leaders and individuals who have distinguished themselves and shown sector significance and outstanding business conduct across a variety of industries that are key drivers of Middle East’s economies.
“GWC continuously demonstrates the flexibility necessary to fulfil the needs of the local economy in times of change, supporting the growth of new economic sectors, while remaining true to its purpose of supporting the Qatar National Vision 2030, and become a sustainable and diverse economy, while ensuring the best possible returns to our stakeholders,” said GWC chairman Sheikh Abdulla bin Fahad bin Jassem bin Jabor al-Thani.
GWC continues to grow in the Qatari market with an 11% net profit increase of QR150mn at the end of the third quarter of 2016 compared to QR135mn in the same period last year. 
Total revenues grew to QR634mn, a 4% increase on QR608mn registered in third quarter of 2015. GWC’s assets continued to develop, with total assets reaching QR3.61bn in September 2016, compared with QR2.98bn at the end of December 2015, representing a 21% growth.
